The Red Shield: Heavy-Duty Protection for Your Dana 30 Front Axle.
The Dana 30 axle is the unsung hero of the Jeep world, serving as the front axle for millions of Wranglers, Cherokees, and Grand Cherokees over the last three decades. While it is a reliable axle, its factory stamped steel cover is a major vulnerability on the trail. A single collision with a rock can peel the lip back, causing fluid loss and expensive gear failure. The ARB 0750002 Differential Cover replaces that thin metal with a high-strength nodular iron fortress.
At Overland Truck Store, we recommend this upgrade for every Jeep owner running a Dana 30 front end. This isn't just a cover; it’s a structural reinforcement. The computer-designed cross-bracing increases the torsional rigidity of the entire axle housing, helping to keep your ring and pinion gears properly meshed under the stress of climbing or big tires.
Finished in ARB’s signature high-visibility red powder coat, this cover looks as good as it performs. It features a high-power magnetic drain plug to trap metal shavings and a unique integrated dipstick/filler cap, allowing you to check your gear oil level on the trail without the mess.
