Locking Traction for the Legendary 8-Inch Axle.
The Toyota 8-inch differential is one of the most versatile and durable axles ever made, found in everything from the classic 1979 solid-axle Pickups to the modern 3rd Gen Tacoma and the front end of the Land Cruiser 80 Series. While these trucks are capable from the factory, an open differential still limits their potential on steep rock crawls or slick mud. The ARB RD132 is the ultimate upgrade, replacing your stock carrier with a competition-proven locking differential.
At Overland Truck Store, this is our "go-to" locker for Toyota builds. Its versatility is unmatched: it fits the Rear Axle of most V6 Pickups, 4Runners, and Tacomas, and serves as the Front Locker for the legendary 80 Series Land Cruiser and Lexus LX450.
When disengaged, it allows for smooth, factory-style turning and cornering. But at the push of a button, it pneumatically locks the 30-spline axle shafts together, providing 100% traction to both wheels. Whether you are restoring an 80s rock crawler or building a 2023 Tacoma for overland travel, the RD132 delivers the reliability you expect from a Toyota drivetrain.

3rd Gen Tacoma: While this fits many 2016+ Tacomas, Toyota used different rear ends (8.0" vs 8.75") depending on the transmission and trim. Please visually verify you have the standard 8-inch rear differential before ordering.
