Gear Ratio Check: This locker (RD117) is designed for the "Low Speed" carrier break (3.92 and Up). If you are running stock gears like 3.55 or 3.73 in an older truck, this locker will likely not fit (you would need the RD116).

Jeep JK Exception: For Jeep Wrangler JK owners, this unit is the standard rear locker for non-Rubicon models (Sahara/Sport) when upgrading to aftermarket gears (4.10, 4.56, etc.). If you are keeping stock 3.21/3.73 gears, verify fitment, as you may need "Thick" gears to utilize this carrier.
